The usenet platform is being removed from the Virgin Media service on
the 30th June 2021.

Therefore to post here I will either have to use Google Groups or find
some other way of posting, a significant annoyance.

I use aioe.org, but will be interested in what you find.

AIOE is free and fine so long as you are not a prolific Usenet poster or
want to post to one of the random groups that it has a downer on.

ISTR UK TV repair is on its banned list at the moment.

I can recommend News Individual Net, which is way better than Google
Groups and should allow you to continue using your current newsreader
software. It's well worth its modest charge of 10 euros a year. It's
very reliable, and amongst its virtues it is very good at filtering out
spam.

WHS

I've been with NIN for 20 years, and can recall only two minor outages.
The service is superb, and the modest cost can be paid by PayPal or
international bank transfer from your online bank - full details on the
NIN web site.

news.individual.net FTW. Yes, it costs money, but it's a trivial amount
and it's worth it.
